A poem about man’s destruction of the earth
When God looked down upon the Earth,
Distressed was He to see
That man knew not the worth
Of creatures, land, the air, the sea.

The gifts he had bestowed on them
Of peace, life, food and health
They’d wasted, thrown away, condemned
Cared less the measure of their wealth.

To teach a lesson then he must
Send harbingers of doom
As penalty for their distrust
Too soon they’d feel the pain and gloom

Four great steeds of different hues
Speed silent through the sky
No need had they of horse’s shoes
Delivering God’s wrath. They fly.
