Loneliness is not being alone, in a world where we crave solitude, so difficult to find.
Such wisdom comes from pain
To just suffer, will not do
A learning curve to perfection
Open my eyes and see what's true

A lonely life, never alone
When alone is its own reward
Embrace the fear and know
This gift is a double-edged sword

If only I had known from the start
The tears washed my soul of joy
In hindsight, now I see
I was playing the role of a poor boy
