a poem to my younger self
Don't you ever settle
and keep your head held high
for my love, you are quite able
to make it through this life.

The best things in life will come
when and where they will
there are people here who have your back
to make it up those hills.

Live life to its fullest
experience all you can
life is too short to be afraid
you don't need a plan.

No need to rely on some man
to be your gallant knight
for you have everything you need
you're your own guiding light.

Always trust your instincts
in matters of the heart
and even if you have a kid
you don't need a counterpart.

The most important thing that I can say
is to believe in who you are
there will always be brighter days
for you, dear, are the star.
