It never rains but it pours.
The weather is so unseasonable,
It rains and blows but should be fine.
It really is unreasonable.
I ought to take it as a sign.

I leave home without my brolly,
Caught in the rain, get really soaking.
I look a sight, but ‘Oh by golly,’
That’s when the elements are really joking,

‘Cos I meet someone I need to impress,
Here he comes, my longed for lover,
But I stand and smile in my dripping dress.
Take his hand and we run for cover.
