Trumpery Charged for Writing com

Sam Adams was a prosecutor in the Justice Department. He was investigating the former President for his role in the insurrection and attempting to overthrow the government. Finally, the Attorney General was on board and the Former President was found guilty on all counts.

The former president was unrepentant. He said that he did not recognize the right to investigate a former president. He also maintained that he was innocent as he was protesting a stolen election and the President was illegitimate. He vowed to appeal his sentence and when he was re-elected he would clean up the Justice Department so that they can never carry out such a biased witch hunt of a prosecution.

Trumpery is a good word. It refers to outdated, or ridiculous views or actions, nicely sums up the former President I think.

Write a poem or story in which the hero is just foiling the villain's "evil" plan. (This can be anything from trivial, e.g. stealing puppies, to James-Bond-catastrophic.)

Write the first part of your piece from the hero's point of view, showing why the hero has worked so hard to stop the villain.

Write the second part covering the same scene, now from the villain's POV, showing why the villain's goals are (to the villain at least) laudable -- for what sympathetic reason did the villain concoct the scheme the hero has just foiled?

Due August 5th, 2022 before noon, WdC time. === ( Deadline: 17 hours 1 minute 38 seconds )
