How retirement increased my creativity
Inspiration from Retirement

Inhaling the scents rising from flowers, then I write
Watching glorious gold end of day hours, then I write.

Cross-stitching colorful blooms on an empty canvas,
borrowing from bright gardens empowers, then I write.

No alarm clock’s ring to wake me, sleeping past seven
Reading books, devouring actioned-filled hours, then I write.

Watching Imaginary films with a little one,
inspired by winged creatures and tall towers, then I write.

Cooking meals with spicy herbs, not according to time,
remembering how food overpowers, then I write.

Baking cookies with glazed faces and wonderful smells,
seeing each face as a superpower, then I write.

Indulging in dreamy afternoon naps, lulled by rain
seeking my muse from silver wet showers, then I write.

Drying clothes with clothespins on an old-fashioned line.
the scents of nature infusing what’s ours, then I write.

The future is wide open, without obliged labor,
Relying on senses, Green creates in her bower, then I write.
