A poem alluding to Greek mythology
If my darling needed I would eat from the pomegranate,
And ask only to be stolen.
To be taken from a life of bright, golden strife, to a world of dark, peaceful glen?
I would sell my soul for nought but a penny,
And lay what virtue I have at the feet of the Lord of Death.
