Daily Poem Contest for September 1, 2022

How did it get so late so soon? It
came so fast. I started writing during the
day, then, all of a sudden it was noontime,
I dared to say.

Thinking that I had time to spare, I
must confess; my mind thought of a rhyme.
It came to me; it was sublime, then I looked
at the time.

The poem was simple, just write a
line. Take out some paper and a pen. Now
you're looking good, you know; it's the
perfect time for you to grow.

Don't be worried by the way it
sounds. Do your best, you can't go wrong.
You'll do fine; you will be strong; Your
poetry will go around.

You'll find the courage to erase
defeat. When you first get on your feet.
Your caring thoughts are shared by many;
It's worth every cent and every penny.

It's your choice, do your thing;
Make a note and begin to sing. You'll get
your start, once you believe; It's believing
that you'll achieve.

For your image, look in the mirror;
it's your reflection of one so dear. The time
you spend with your writing; you will find
that it's delightful.

You will find what you desire when
Your deadline soon expires. Don't let that
deadline pass you by; If you do, you may
wonder why.

When your poem becomes too
long, you could shorten it up, or you
could leave it as is, but remember this,
if it attracts the readers, then you've got
a hit.

It's very stunning what you're
becoming; so, take the lead; it couldn't hurt.
Freedom is where we can succeed, so, get
a book that we can read.

Let's work together and make things
right; let's end the chaos and the fight. You'll
know what the truth is, that's for sure. By
educating yourself, you'll be informed.

Remember your history, don't delay;
you'll be smarter in your way. Encourage
others from your heart; you'll get off to a
very good start.

Don't be afraid of the big old monster;
it might be turned into a lobster. Don't get too
twisted; otherwise, it wouldn't be considered
Listed.

How did it get so late so soon? I wrote
myself a story in the morning and quit in the
afternoon. I soon realized that I was working
Late.

I get so involved with my writing, that
I lost track of time; Now it's bedtime, how
exciting!
