Calling the sleepless to wander.
Twilight Beckons

Twilight beckons
calling the weary to rest
and the sleepless to wander.

To wander
lonely through city streets
and down dark country roads
seeking similes and metaphors,
lines and stanzas,
and rhythms and rhymes.

The sleepless seeker
descends into forested valleys
and climbs snow capped peaks
searching for the perfect words
to describe their view
of reality.
