Thoughts of all the night time walks.
Years slid by
toiling for your eye.
Just one,
the second would come.

Blindly pining
for the truth in your words.
Knees weak by your side
our moonlight guide.

Neighborhood watch
with headlight spotlights.
Our hands jingle against each other
like keys craving to be held.

In my driveway. In your car.
Talking around our feelings
we're hiding in the dark
from what we sought.

Warm embraces, saying good-bye.
We burnt our hearts
Crossed our lines.
but no more.
