how do you store your memories?
Think Positively

I prefer to think darkly,
the shadows are where all the good things live.

A survey asked how do you like to save your memories,
In my head, I replied.
I think they were looking for flash drives and ICloud.

A finger pointing at the moon isn't the moon.
I want to remember the smell of petrichor,
the feel of my husband's rough hands on my skin,
bamboo soughing in the wind,
my grandchildren's smiles.

When the brain changes come,
and they will come
my hard drive may be broken
but my software will be intact.
