Why I joined Tupperware and remain with it.
Why did I become a Tupperware Consultant?

I am a caregiver to my best friend/roommate, Sheila. She has health issues that make it impossible for her to fully care for herself. As of lately, she has begun requiring a little more care.

In 2020, when Covid struck, I also began to have some of my own health issues. To make a long story short, I ended up having to quit work. I applied for Social Security and was denied. We were basically having to live off of Sheila's limited income. I did not have an income.

Not having my own income made me feel insecure. If something happened to her, I didn't have anything to live on with no job. If I did try to get another job, I would have to leave Sheila alone for several hours at a time. This just was not in her best interest anymore. I was also burned out from working retail and fast food.

I explored the idea of working from home. I even tried one work-from-home job, but it wasn't any better than if I had to physically go somewhere else to work because I couldn't get off the phone. It was an inbound call center type of job. If I was stuck on the phone, I still wasn't free to help Sheila anytime she needed it or to take our dog outside when it was needed.

Then one day, a friend of mine asked me to host a Tupperware party on Facebook for her. I thought it would be fun for a change and agreed to do it. She talked to me about the opportunity. I decided to give Tupperware a try and went with the $15 virtual kit. I didn't have a single piece of Tupperware to my name. However, with time, I am slowly building up my Tupperware collection and love it.

Why do I continue to be a Tupperware consultant?

I am glad that I was able to become a Tupperware consultant. I have gained so much more than just extra money for an income. I have experienced personal growth. I have made new friends and met new people. I have an awesome team that I get to work with and meet on zoom on a regular basis. We share Tupperware demos and recipes. I get to make money running parties. I can stay home with Sheila and our little dog too, and I can stop what I am doing to take care of them when I need to. I love that flexibility of being able to set my own hours. I get to build my very own business and be the entrepreneur I have always wanted to be. I can pursue my dreams of becoming a published author and can do the things I enjoy when I want to do them.
