Emotional poem about my dad who has Alzheimer's.
Don’t I know you?
You seem so
familiar.

Your eyes hold
memories of
us.

I close my eyes,
listen to your
voice.

My mind plays
echoes of your
laughter.

I had a child, who
looked like
you.

The same eyes,
same voice, and
smile.

I see her at times,
when I close my
eyes.

I love her and
miss her so
much.

Can you tell her
I said, “I love
you?

And hold her
close for a
hug?”

Do you know
me?

Yes, dad, I do.
I love you, too.
