When caring too much is the death of you
I care so much
I have worry for others in excess
And people love that
But sometimes I wish
That I was numb to it all

Oh to be empty
To not cry at the thought
Of losing someone
To not lose your breath
At the thought of that person
Never talking to you again
Their voice only existing in recordings
or your memory

To be blind
Of everyone's feelings and thoughts
being more important than yours
Yours are overwhelming
Being frozen to it all
Would save so much pain
Feeling this much hurts
And the guilt eats away
When helping others breaks you down

Caring so much is too much
The empty zen of nothing
Is so tempting but yet
No matter how much you try
It's out of reach, just too far
