Ian must check the window to ease his daughter's fear.
Elyse pulled the blanket up to her face. “Baba!”

Ian quickly came to his daughter’s call and opened the door. “What’s the matter, Elyse?”

Elyse looked at him with big glassy eyes and pointed to the window with her voice trembling, “Dere’s someding out dere…”

Ian looked towards the window and asked, “You think there’s something out there?”

She quickly nodded her head. “I heard someding scarwy…”

He looked over to his daughter with a comforting gaze. “It was probably the wind. Nothing scary.”

“Can you check, pwease?” She insisted with pleading eyes.

He gave in and walked over to the window and pushed the curtains aside to reveal nothing. He shut the curtains. “See? Nothing to be sca-GAAAAH!”

When he turned around, Lidia shouted, “BOO!” Ian collapsed to the floor with his heart beating out of his chest. Both Elyse and Lidia were laughing so hard they were crying. Lidia clapped and said between giggles, “Hehe we got Baba~”

Lidia nodded and wiped the tears away from her eyes. “Yeah we did. My niece is the best partner in crime everrr~”

Ian huffed at the duo. “You guys are a menace to society.”

Lidia smirked. “You bet. And there’s more to come~”

Ian covered his face and mumbled, “I’m going to die at a young age from a heart attack.”

Lidia laughed as she and Elyse began plotting their next devious attack.
