You think the beginning is bizarre, wait till you get to the ending.
”Is this report for real?”

”Have I ever filed a false report?”

“No.”

“Well, I’m not about to start now, anyway, it’s a felony to file a false report with the police and I kind of like my freedom.”

”It’s also a crime to climb to the top of the water tower!”

”Yeah, but it’s not a felony.”

”Just stop, let’s start over. Tell me in your own words what you saw.”

”Finally, you’re ready to listen, that’s all I was trying to get you to do for the last two and half hours. So, I climbed the tower watching the stars with my handheld telescope and I see this flash of light. At first I thought it was a shooting star, but then it makes a U-turn in the sky.“

“Then what happened?”

“I don’t know.”

“What do you mean you don’t know.”

“Well, I don’t know, cause I blacked out and when I woke up I was lying in a grassy field.”

”So you think you were abducted by aliens?”

“I didn’t say that.”

The police Sargent laughed, “Maybe you were probed?”

”See, this is why I didn’t want to report this, because I knew you wouldn’t take me seriously.”

”Why did you report it?”

“My wife insisted.”

”Why didn’t she come with you?”

”I ate her.”

Now he had everyone’s attention. Now they took him seriously.

“You don’t see a problem with what you just said?”

“I told you, I would never file a false report! It’s against the law.”
