For Outlaw Poet's Weekly Contest...about this hardest day.
We laughed together
until we left behind our laughing bodies
and became the laughter; spirit mirth.

We dreamt together
until we saw that dreams were feast
for future pasts, impermanence’s pounding…

We cried together
until our tears became a voice
and, gasping, whispered: “rapture.”

You died alone
and died and died again until this day
when thinking it that millionth time has made it true.
