The title is the prompt, so I took it from there.
There comes a thief, a pastry chef
to steal all the midnight stars
for berries in his pie.

One by one they are plucked
by his rain-soaked and thundering hands
rolling clouds of dough onto edges of sky.

Lightning flashes blast heat
beneath his
culinary creation, baking it to perfection.

A tangerine moon slips her spoon
into the treat
scooping stolen berry stars,
and flaky rumble topping,
and heavy cream hail

and eats it in ecstasy,
far above the
chef’s clever cover of cloud.
