Sequestered safely amongst the redwood
sitting on the forest’s soft carpet.
Sunlight, sifted through ancient fingers
and set softly upon my head
is a saintly anointing from above,
a sacred blessing upon my solitude.
My soul is at peace
Seated at the feet of giants.
