Take UP Your Cross

Psalm 128:1-6
Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

What does it mean to fear the Lord? Should we be afraid of anything else?

The Lord should be our only fear. Everything else is nothing compared to the power of Almighty God.

This is the link to the group I do these Scripture writings with on Facebook if anyone else is interested in doing so also.

Scripture writing - Acts 21:17-19

17 And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
18 And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
19 And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.

Basically, these verses are saying that the group of people with Paul was received gladly. Paul then gave them a report of his mission work.

We should always receive others gladly especially when they are our siblings in Christ.

Dear God,
May I always received my brothers and sisters in Christ with gladness.
In Jesus's name,

Prompt: "It's not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves." William Shakespeare Write about this quote in your Blog entry today.

Actually, I believe God holds my destiny. I may make plans, but they don't always work out the way I want them to. God has the final say.

Write about the color red in your Blog entry today.

My uncle’s favorite color was red. Red is also the color of blood. It is often used to represent the blood of Christ.

Prompt: "Nothing is more exciting and rewarding than the sudden flash of insight that leaves you a changed person." ~ Arthur Gordon
Have you ever had such a sudden flash of insight?

As a Christian, I read the Bible regularly. As a result, I get “flashes of insite” on a regular basis. The Bible is called the living. Word of God for a reason.
