Useless Talents...or Are They?!
Some people are truly talented at one or two things. This is still debatable concerning myself. Others are truly talented in a great many areas. Definitely Not me! Finally, there are those poor souls that seem to accumulate useless talents and hoard them like treasures.

I can readily eagerly admit that I fall quite snugly into the useless talent category. Now that I think of it, or perhaps I am simply desperate to defend them, these talents do, in fact, have their uses. Probably not to the well ~ adjusted, highly talented individual, who would no doubt scoff upon them, but...I stand by my decision. They are, in fact, quite useful. Let's see...

1. Creating a Grocery List, Only to Leave it at Home ~ More often than not, alright...every single time, I forget my list at home. Those talented people out there are probably thinking, "Well, that is dumb! Now you are going to buy nothing except whatever catches your eye, and not one single thing would have been on your list."

But see, this is how this useless talent of mine is not so useless after all. There is a fine art between thinking of something, and physically writing it down, that helps cement it in your mind. "What?! I am not joking!" In fact, I rarely forget one thing after coming home and matching the items that I bought to the ones on the sad, left behind list. Rarely even one, I tell you. *BigSmile*

2. Smiling and Nodding at Just the Right Times During Conversation ~ This is not useless at all. It allows the redundant storyteller (we all know one of these), to re ~ tell the same story for the thousandth time, while I expertly give the impression of hearing it for the very first time.

What makes this useful? ~ I now have all of that uninterrupted time to have the conversations (in my head) that I might need/want. Usually to ponder what is going to happen next in the book that I am deep into. *Reading*

3. Buying Something That I am Positive we are Out of...But We Aren't ~ And yes...I did add it to the list that I forgot.

Not useless because...I may find myself well ~ prepared for Armageddon! Now I just need somewhere to store all of these extras. Anyone know where I can purchase a bomb shelter?! Hopefully I won't forget that I have one, and buy two...Gulp!

4. Counting Sheep When Struggling to Fall Asleep ~ You are Right! That is a useless talent. It never works!
