Icon: Premium Plus (Small) Audio items allow you to upload and share sound files directly on Writing.Com.

These can include readings of your writing, original music, spoken word, or any audio you’ve created.

Audio items are stored in your Portfolio and function like other items on the site.

Who Can Create Audio Items

Audio items are available to members with a Premium Plus membership or higher.
• You can create up to 25 Audio items
• Each Audio item is stored in your Portfolio

 How Audio Items Work

Each Audio item contains:
• An uploaded audio file
• A title and description
• Optional formatting and details

Your audio is played directly from the item page.

Creating an Audio Item

Creating an Audio item is similar to other items:
• Click + Create Something
• Choose Audio
• Upload your audio file
• Add a title and description
• Save your item

You can edit your Audio item at any time using the gear icon.

Audio File Requirements
• Supported formats: WAV, MP3, MIDI
• Maximum file size: 5 MB

Only upload audio that you have the rights to share.

Finding Audio Items

To explore Audio items created by other members:
• Use Browse by Type
• Select Audio

Good to Know
• Audio items are stored in your Portfolio like other items
• You can update or replace your audio at any time
• Keep file sizes and formats within supported limits
