Unlike Image items, Photo Albums support
larger images and multiple uploads, making them ideal for collections of photos.

When to Use a Photo Album

Use a Photo Album when you want to:

• upload multiple images at once
• store larger images
• organize photos into a collection

If you only need a single small image, use an
Image instead.

Create a Photo Album

Creating a Photo Album is quick:

Click
+Create Something
Choose
Photo Album
Upload your images and complete the form

You can upload multiple images at once using drag and drop.

Image Limits

Photos in an album can be:

• up to
1024 × 1024 pixels
• uploaded individually or in batches

If an image is too large, it will be automatically resized.

Using Your Photos

Once uploaded, your photos can be used throughout Writing.Com just like other images.

Managing Your Photo Album

Once your Photo Album is created, you can manage it using the
Manage option.

Adding Photos

You can upload multiple photos at once using the upload form.

Simply select your images and upload them. Larger images will be automatically resized to fit within the allowed limits.

Viewing and Editing Photos

You can view your album in thumbnail form and click any image to see it larger.

From there, you can:
• add titles or descriptions
• rotate images
• move between photos

Organizing Photos

Photos can be reordered within your album at any time.

You can also move photos between albums if needed.

Deleting Photos

Photos can be removed from your album at any time.

Deleted photos are placed in the Recycling Bin and can be recovered for a limited time.
