Cat
We have one of the strangest cats. A Blue Russian gal, abandoned to a pet hospital due to biting her owner. Four years later, we've adjusted to each other. I know where to touch and not to. Bites have been reduced to none. I've learned her warning signs. She's learned a few signals and purr routines bonding us together.

I've never had a cat before with no interest in going outside. She has a perch next to a window and a couple of favorite resting places tucked in our home, here and there.

What's to be grateful about that?

She trusts me. Cat (her nickname) hangs out on the edge of my bed while I write and read from my laptop. Silent, steady, companion.

Nice.
