Wanna know what a frog has to blog about? Read on! |
You are the curator of a museum. This museum has an area of interest to you. Take us on a guided tour of your latest exhibition. This prompt hit my email box last night and so, I laid there in bed thinking about this. A museum. And what area of interest would hold my greatest interest? Quite a few ideas sprang up. First, I thought about a gardening section that maybe explores the history of various flowers, plants, and trees. Horticulture and Agriculture would fit so nicely into this section as well and there is a rich history of both that would do any museum proud. But, then, I thought what about an area that explored and exhibited the history of literature? I also thought about an area on the history of cooking. Through the ages, the methods and traditions of preparing food have changed radically...and wouldn't that be interesting to see it all displayed? What about trains? Trains are cool! A display that shows the evolution of the train and railroad. That has a very turbulent and rich history...how many stories of the lives that were impacted over the years...both in good and bad ways? How it shaped and changed so many things... Then, as I was finally drifting off to sleep and yeah, I was listening to Christmas music (already) I wondered about the history of Christmas? Wouldn't it be magical to see an area where the history of how every culture celebrated Christmas through history? So my friends, take your pick. They are all areas I could see myself spending hours and hours in such areas. Reading back on this entry, I guess you got more of a tour of my weird, jumbled mind than a well-thought-out and planned museum! ![]() |
