Just stuff I thought of while getting a little exercise. |
| Ops, not much today. Being the housekeeper has levied a claim on my activities. Didn't even get to walk the mile. I had a conversation last Thursday, with my big daughter, about the future of work and the economy. What happens when the pandemic is over? I say there is a precedence to look at. The women who went into industry during the WWII had to do the work while the men were all out being killed. It had to be done. But when the war was over, most put down their welder hoods, tools, rivet guns and went back home to raise a family. The men returned and life began anew, but not like before the war. Conditions changed. I expect the changes will be big when the fear is past. Life at home will be closer. Parents will contribute more to their children's education, because they saw what they could do when the kids had to stay home. Am I being too rosy? |
