| because when I laugh, I turn to see your smile. because when I close my eyes, I ache for you. because, yesterday, at the store I heard your voice from the corner of my ear but you're gone, forever, and I found myself buying your favorites the things I never eat anymore. because when I wake, I turn to where you should be and miss you again. because the world glows green with new life and the air fills with flower petals drifting from fruit trees and daffodils nod, white and gold in my front garden and you're not here to share it with me. because spring makes me lonely for you because your absence swallows me. because without you, I am only a ghost of who I was when you were here.
