love is

love is saying sorry
because being in harmony
is more important than winning.
it's building up
because it's not funny
to push down.
it's working to make sure
life is better, that potential
is met, that life's work
is achieved.
when I love someone,
I want to be surprised and pleased
with the person they become
beside me
as we move together
into eternity.
