I listened to this song. A young man asks the man if he can marry his daughter. The girl's father says that isn't going to happen. The guy says he and the daughter will elope. He says the father is rude. Fathers don't like their daughter's boyfriends. No surprise.

This song has illustrations to go with the lyrics. How cheesey. I can't say I care for this song. I tried to write a poem about this but couldn't think of anything. A typical situation. The father doesn't like the daughter's boyfriend. More then once, couples have eloped. My father told me he would have given me a ladder and a thousand dollars for my husband and I to elope. My father gave us a big wedding. I am happy.

This song. I didn't care for it but the lyrics. They were interesting. Rude. The boyfriend thinks the father was rude. A lot of boyfriends and fathers are rude. I always enjoy writing for these challenges.
