Rayne made his move.

He sent his ironclad drones, “Phoenix-Class Units,” into sacred dragon sites. Forests burned. Crystals shattered. One by one, the old hideouts fell.

He had turned myths into code and weaponized their DNA.

When he found the location of Ash’s sanctuary, he launched a full-scale attack.

Emily led the defense.

With a blade of fire in her hand and dragons above and below, she fought.

It wasn’t enough.

Vincent arrived personally in a suit powered by stolen flame.

He struck Emily down. She fell, unconscious, into the magma chasm below.

He left her for dead.
