Done But Maybe Not Done

The good news is that I finished writing my latest WDC Short Story. Unfortunately, the bad news is that I’m not sure if it is done yet. After all, I don’t like the ending of it. Because of the two-thousand-word limit for this contest, it just ends. That’s why I’m not sure if I’m done with it yet.

It’s also why I’m going to wait a few days or a week before I know whether I’m done with this WDC Short Story. I may or may not decide to try to find an ending to it. Then again, maybe it’s fine the way it is. After all, the Section/Part is really the tenth Part/Section of this Short Story.

What do I mean by this last sentence above? It means that I started this Short Story with the ending of it. The second Section/Part really begins this Short Story, but it takes place ‘Almost Ten Years Ago.’ This is the title that starts the second Part/Section for this WDC Short Story.

If I placed the first Section/Part at the end of this WDC Short Story, then the tenth Part/Section would become the ninth Section/Part, and the ending to the tenth Part/Section now would make somewhat sense. Does that make any sense to anyone else? It doesn’t to me, and I’m the one who wrote it.

However, I look at this WDC Short Story, it doesn’t matter if it’s finished now or if I update it in a few days or a week. I know that it won’t be well-received by the judges in this contest or anyone else reviewing it. Sometimes, my short stories are well-received, but most of them aren’t.

About ninety-nine percent aren’t well-received. One reviewer seems to like my short stories, but the others don’t. Maybe that’s why I have been banned from The Shameless Plug Page and the Please Review Page. I doubt that’s the reason why, but what else can it be for my banishment?

Whether I update this WDC Short Story or I create and post it as it is, I’m still going to wait a few days, a week, or longer before I do it. I still haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet, but I have almost three weeks left until the end of this month to decide what I will do.

Of course, I have less than three weeks if I want to change it, but the more I think about it, I probably won’t be changing it. Now the big question is, when will I create it and post it to this contest? Should I do it now or wait until toward the end of this month?
