The WDC Prompt Already

I didn’t expect to find the WDC Short Story prompt to be posted already when I got up early this morning, but it had been. After I read it, I created a document for it so that I could copy and paste this prompt into this document. Unfortunately, that’s all I got accomplished before my brother and I had to start accomplishing what we needed to do today.

Well, that isn’t exactly true. I did have a little bit of time before my brother and I started to do what we needed to do today to think about what my Short Story would be about for this contest this month. It didn’t take me long to remember a Short Story to accompany this prompt. Out of the seven Deadly Sins, I choice Greed as my prompt for this contest.

I wanted to write a Short Story with all seven Deadly Sins, but the contest prompt said to pick only one. So, I decided on Greed. While my brother and I accomplished what we needed to do today, I thought about this WDC Greed Short Story so that I could start working on it when we finished what we needed to accomplish today.

Unfortunately, it took us until toward the middle of the afternoon before we finished what we needed to do today, and it wasn’t over with yet. My brother and I had one more thing that we needed to do today. Luckily, I had a couple of hours to work on this WDC Greed Short Story before we had to do the final thing we needed to do today.

I started with the title and Title Description for this WDC Greed Short Story. Then I wrote my three-to-five paragraph synopsis for this Short Story. It’s something that I often do for most of my short stories. These synopses are usually a part of these short stories, but sometimes they can be. This isn’t one of those short stories.

These synopses help me to write my short stories, but they don’t always stay in form with my short stories. Usually, they do stay to form, but sometimes they don’t. What do I mean by ‘stay to form?’ It means that I freelance write my short stories. That means I let my fingers do the writing of these short stories. At least I do to some degree.

Of course, I already have the storylines for these short stories in mind. That’s what my synopses are for. Other than that, I let my fingers do the writing for me. Usually, I stick with these synopses, but sometimes I don’t. I don’t know if this WDC Greed Short Story will follow this synopsis or not. After all, I haven’t started writing it.

After I finished writing my synopsis for this WDC Greed Short Story, I started working on the ten sentences that make up the Sections/Parts for the WDC Greed Short Story for this month. Unfortunately, these ten Parts/Sections sentences are all that I got written today. I will start working on this WDC Greed Short Story tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, I only have two days to work on this WDC Greed Short Story before I start my twenty-four-hour shift at work this weekend. It’s very doubtful that I will get this WDC Greed Short Story written by then. That means I will be spending at least part of this weekend finishing up this WDC Greed Short Story. Hopefully, it will only be part of it.
