I didn't get this song. Was he having a rally? He was just throwing out words. He is walking down the street singing and yelling. He says he isn't talking about romance. Word Up. He was using mumbo jumbo. I used to play word games on my phone and I played scrabble and Up words. I was getting good at word games.

Cameo. I think of a movie star making an appearance on a show. A Cameo necklace. It has a woman's face on ot.I have one like Alice wore on Twilight. Jane Austen wore cameos.

Word Up. Maybe it refers to studying.
Learning new words. We can never get enough education. So, word up. Learn words.
