I Didn't Know

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

It was a simple question, but my answer wasn't simple. "I didn't know, not for sure anyway."

"You should have told me."

"It isn't the kind of thing you spread around if you aren't sure. What if his parents found out?"

"Some brother you are."

"His parents thought he was doing one thing, but turns out he was doing something entirely different with his life."

"Why Clown College?"

"Well, it is a college. They did say they wanted him to go to college."

She glared at me like I had my head on upside down.
