My journey through life picking up the best lessons I could and continuing to do so. |
| Women was previously the residence of Nizam (Head of the state of Hyderabad). It was later occupied by the British representative in the state of Hyderabad, and after Independence was donated to the University by the Nizam. So the class rooms were big and the ceilings were high as per the standards of those days I believe. Classes started at nine in the morning and lasted till four in the afternoon, with an hour’s lunch break in the afternoon. It was a memorable stage of my education and life as well. Carefree and concerned too. I had nothing else to do except study and play. I feel pretty thankful because we had large play fields with trees around. It was a walled college and so we were blessedly away from the madding crowd. I should confess here that sometimes we used to bunk a class or more to go to a movie or a cricket match in which world famous cricketers used to play. We loved watching them from the galleries in the stadium shouting hoarse and cheering the cricketers. I don’t think there is anyone, who never missed classes for the sake of a bit of entertainment as above, |
