Consequences

Although it is nice trying exotic foods it does have its consequences - indigestion. I suffer from acid reflux and my doctor gives me medicine for it. There is a side effect, it makes me constipated. The doctor has given me medicine for that too. However it is not without its problems.

Whereas the first is on my repeat list the second is not. For items on repeat I simply phone the pharmacy and they deliver. For items not on repeat I have to go through a nightmare of red tape.

First I have t go online and do an e-consult. I have to answer about a hundred questions, mostly irrelevant. Two days later I get a text message with further questions and I can only answer if I have a smartphone. I don't. I can't use one. I have a senior phone - big buttons, large font, and LOUD.

Now I have to phone the surgery. I ring and I join a long queue. Eventually I get to speak to a receptionist. She doesn't know who sent the text so I am put on hold while she finds out. Oh please, if you're going to leave people hanging get some decent music.

Okay, she's back. She knows who sent the text and they will ring me back. Undoubtedly sometime in the next week or so. And all I want is a good S**T.
