A banner on the moon,
where there is no breeze.

A fish frozen in a glacier,
baked by sun,
melting in an arid land.

A gay man among those that hate,
knowing they inherit the world
he betters.

A cactus in a dank dark swamp,
a waterlily in an artic blast,
a polar bear under a tropical sun.

A Kansan in Colorado
smiling to cerebral materialists
from the heart.

Basho speaking of beauty to Bush.
Mother Teresa to Hitler about love.

And all who cannot forgive their parents
yet make the same mistakes? Enough.
