Ten-Finger Exercises

CAST OF CHARACTERS

BILL: My wonderful husband of nine years. He's a sweet, loving, sentimental guy who is also an
engineer, Apple computer expert, and assistant director of emergency management for the county.
He is a pilot, musician, dancer, former ski patroller, and is good at anything he tries. He
can do many things at one time, although that sometimes drives me crazy.


HAP: My son and friend, a curly haired tall guy with a kind heart, lots of artistic talent and a great
dad. He is married to LIZ, my red-haired daughter-in-law who is really special and thoughtful too.
They have two daughters: LUCY, almost 5, and KATIE, 3.



LENORE: My daughter and friend, a creative special ed teacher, also curly haired,
who is married to GEORGE: a sports fan and loving father to their 6yr-old twins, JACK and
SOPHIE, the 24-week miracle babies. HAP and his family live near Portland.
LENORE and hers live in Spokane.



BILL's children: JOHN, engineer by day and deputy sheriff by night, and his wife KAREN,
a trooper in the Florida State Patrol, and ELIZABETH, the attorney, all live in Jacksonville, Florida,
too far away. :(

WREN: a more sophisticated, sort of British version of myself. BERNARD: Wren's husband,
who is loving but frequently distracted and on another wave-length. RUPERT: Wren's twin brother,
who is often more tuned in to her. MARGOT: a neighbor and know-it-all who drops in occasionally and
sprinkles bits of wisdom. We'll hear more of her later, along with other characters yet to appear.
