These short poems will take you inside the mind of a quiet girl in a crazy world. |
| You're never there, You're always gone, Seems everytime I come near, All you do is run, All I am is something, That you can show off, Only paying attention, When you want to impress or tell off, I am not a trophy, Or what you think I am, I am a young adult, Who's doing what she can, I have goals and dreams, I have needs too, And right this moment, They don't concern you, So take your little slams, And comments to make me feel bad, And turn them the other way, Cause I've taken all I can have! Your games and schemes, Will haunt me no more, I won't break down, You won't have my core! NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: A tale about an absentee father using his daughter for his own personal gain. |
