| My Guardian Angel In blinding light she came to me, her smile radiant as in life. We walked to an outdoor café, sat at an umbrella table. Color was bleached by divine glow, we drank tea, shared our memories. Her wisdom, ageless; guided my footsteps, freed my troubled mind. We discussed my deceased father; his failings, his indiscretions. She accepted his weaknesses, suggested I forgive him. I held her hands, wrinkled, elegant; hands that held me as a baby. Back then she nursed, clothed, dressed all my childhood wounds, tucked me in. Now, in grace, all encompassing, she comes to me in troubled times.
