Prompt: What is your favorite holiday recipe? Is there a story that goes with the recipe?

My mother makes the best fudge. It is the kind that you have to keep refrigerated. She always gives my husband and I a tin of fudge and I savor every bite. She puts walnuts in it and I don't like nuts in my food but I don't mind nuts in this fudge. It is just delicious.

My mother makes Gingerbread men cookies, too. They are nice and big and they don't stay around long. No special story. Just a Christmas tradition. Fudge and Gingerbread men cookies. I hope someday that I will be able to make them.
