Pain crushes at the moment of impact
Time eases the devastation
And with that,
Comes deeper understanding
A chance to see beyond what was
To what is to come
Your love guided me
Not to stay with you
But to move on
Into my future
Without you.
I give thanks
For the time we had
And for what you taught me.
Goodbye, my love
Thank you for the gift.
