April is the month to write poetry. April is part of spring and we are recovering from winter. Farmers are out in their fields and everything is starting to get green. Flowers are growing and we have sunny days. Why is April Poetry Month? Poems center around love, nature and events. April warms our hearts and we have a few rain showers so it is like rain cleanses the land and a poet cleanses their soul or mind. It is always nice to express one's self through poety so the poets write, lovers dream and writing sets us free. Welcome April.
