Trapped

Fear, deep inside,
invisible to those around.
Fake smiles given out,
hiding the pain and uncertainty.
One wrong word, one false move
and the walls around could crumble.
Tremors and shortness of breath
come from a single touch.
Dark eyes, sparks fly,
and you're rooted to the spot.
No quick movements,
words chosen with care.
Tenderness, a word
long erased from your dictionary.
Love, a sad lie
still unknown to you.
Helpless in all things,
crushed to the ground.
Deprived of human nature,
you've had to adjust it all.
His wishes, his demands,
your hell, your chains.
Trapped, inside yourself,
afraid to dare, take a leap.
You may never know,
what's outside those walls.
Find the strength within,
to break yourself free.
Believe, that you can,
you can break the bond.
Trust in yourself,
and all the misery will be gone.
