Like Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Mr. Darcy makes your pulse go up. A book is the heart. You can't wait to turn the pages. The word flow and keep the novel going, like blood to the heart. Your pulse goes up in a good way with anticipation as you read it. A book is like a portrait. You imagine how it will end and have a steady pulse. Heart and pulse, blood, a book, heart, portrait, pages and pulse. Yes, Virginia, it happens. Give me a good book with a pulse!
