My Mom's writing |
| The day was warm and sunny And the air was motionless We all felt very funny To see her in her dress. She left the car and up the steps She slowly wove her way, We all stood still and held our breath For she was wed today. In school we laughed and teased her We never liked her much, Yet here she looks so sweeter, Within an arm's length touch. I stood and watched her as she went, And heard her say "I do !" Somehow I felt that she had sent A message dear and true. And so when back to school she comes I'll try to be polite I'll just sit back with my lips mum And try to do what's right.
