Prompt: "Daddy's gone mad, hasn't he?"

Three trips to Viet Nam, seeing death
can play on the human mind. A ten year
old girl watched her father come home
from Viet Nam and noticed how he changed.

No more pillow fights, no kidding from
Dad anymore. She watched him drink and
he wasn't fun anymore. The girl grew up
and wasn't close to her father. Sad, really.

Now, a young woman in her twenties, she
asked her mother: "Daddy's gone mad, hasn't he?"
Her mother answered yes. The young woman got
married and her father gave her a big Wedding.

Her father found God and she was glad and he quit
drinking. After Dad having health issues and the
young woman having her health crisis, things changed.

The woman was getting older and gave her father a
grandson and his mood lightened. They shared hugs
and no longer fought. Daddy isn't mad, he just seems
content and will always have bad memories of the war.
