Gratitude breaks the spell of Writers Block |
Istijlál (Majesty), 18 Bahá (Splendour), 147 BE - Thursday, April 6, 2017 CE Dreams of a Mystic Dreamer A mystic dreamer I write poetry and pray meditating on God's word. I write poetry in my dreams, lines and stanzas that disappear from my waking mind. I dream dreams of salvation, Christ returning in the clouds of glory. I am the mystic struggling with the fears generated by childhood traumas; fears that my dreams sort out or put aside for another night. Dreams there are that remain firm and bright with the passing years. Other dreams fade with the coming the morning light carried away by the winds of dawn. Dreams console, echo the fight between faith and doubt. I whisper a prayer of protection before my eyelids close in sleep. |
