I will be adding stories, poems & reflections as the year marches on. Take a gander today!
"Does she not realize what we are made for?"
"Of course she does. She knows we are clothespins, afterall."
"I get very hot hanging here on this visor all day."
"You know why she keeps us here. She bought us to hold her curtain in place when she is camping or parked for the night. The curtain no longer works like it did when her campervan was new. She needs our help."
"Well, that is all well and good, she may need our help but I would rather be holding fresh clean laundry on a clothline. That would be better than waiting here on this visor all the time."
"She keeps us here so she can grab us quickly when she needs us. Remember, there are more of us back in the drawer."
"Yeh, you don't know what happened to the last guy. His spring sprung and he ended up in three pieces flying across the room! The thing she clipped him to was too thick for him to handle. Did she care? Nope. She just grabbed you out of the drawer and put you here on the visor to use the next time."
"Well, she owns me, spring and all. I hope my spring does not pop but I dearly want to serve whatever purpose she has for me, don't you?"
"No!!! I want to hang clothes on a clothesline! It is what I was made for. It is my ultimate purpose. Not THIS!"
"Well, you should be grateful to have the opportunity to be useful instead of stuck in the drawer back there. I was really glad to be able to get out and see the world. And just think, if you were on a clothesline, you might be hanging there in bad weather or stuck in a bag waiting to be used. We get to see the world as she drives to and fro."
"I don't care to see the world. I just want to do what a clothespin was meant to do: HANG CLOTHES!"
"Well, you are in for a life of misery if you don't change your attitude."
"What does attitude have to do with it?"
"Well, with the right attitude, almost anywhere can be heaven on earth. Enjoy what you have instead of constantly chewing on seeds of discontent. Choose to be content and see the good things in your life. You will find if you do that, you will be much happier..."
