Week 29 Form: Soledad - Chrismas Card Holiday

Christmas goose is in the oven,
with apple and chest nut stuffing,
and the kitchen smells like heaven.

The halls are decked with holly boughs,
mistletoe above the front door,
and corals Christmas joys arouse.

The lights on the tree are twinkling,
the wassail bowl and cups are filled,
and the silver bells are tinkling.

It's a Christmas card holiday,
welcoming family and friends,
and celebrating Christ's birthday.

Form: Soledad  
Number of Lines: minimum 3, stanzas may be added in multiples of three lines and must follow the rhyming scheme
Rules: Three 8-syllable lines (per stanza)
Follow rhyming scheme below
Meter: Often the 3rd syllable of a line is stressed.
Rhyme Scheme: The first and third lines must rhyme axa, bxb, etc
